A play, of course, on the iconic Coke slogan, from Rinsed.

Just in case any of your friends need reminding that cyclists are the pinnacle of human evolution.

Races

Lanterne Rouge —£15.39

Red Bubble Lanterne Rouge

Here's a tribute to the race's last-placed rider, the famed lanterne rouge. We've all been there. Artist Anthony Robson has a couple of dozen other designs too.

Col de Galibier T-Shirt — £25

Velolove col du galibier t-shirt

Monuments and climbs abound at velolove.cc and this Galibier number is a fairly typical example. Done in a cheery blue, it doesn’t scream cycling, which makes it all the better in our book.

Giro d'Italia - £10.00

Rinsed Giro t-shirt

A tribute to the Tour of Italy from Rinsed T-shirts.

Le Mont Ventoux — £13.99

2020 Mont ventoux t-shirt

Often a crucial climb in the Tour de France, the windy mountain is celebrated by this T-shirt from Amazon.

l'Alpe d'Huez — £14.99

Alpe t-shitrt

Always a significant climb when it's included, some say the Tour de France is won on l'Alpe d'Huez.

La Vuelta Bike t-shirt Black

The only grand tour that more-or-less started on time last year, and we love the colours.

Slogans and statements

Pasta is always the answer — £22.99

pasta is always the answer t shirt

We're quite fond of baked goods as well, so if anyone can find a 'Will ride for cake' shirt, let us know.

Fat and money — £19.99

money and fat.jpg

Nuff said.

Too Many Bicycles — £10.95

Too Many bikes.jpg

A bit more straightforward than some of the others, but a fair bit less costly as well. It also leads us neatly on to:

Bike maths — £22

Bike-Maths-Navy-Mens-Tee_2000x2000.jpg

The expanded version of the timeless cyclist's formula. Can you ever have too many? If in doubt, consult the T-shirt.

Stay Awesome — £15.99

Stay_Awesome_-_Male_back_2.jpg

Inspired by Transport for London's ludicrous 'Cyclists Stay Back' stickers of a few years ago, so we include two car window stickers, two A6 stickers and five business card stickers with each T-shirt and for every tee we donate £5 to the Cyclists' Defence Fund. The front has a small road.cc logo.

Brands

Campagnolo Classic — ~£32.00

Campagnolo T.jpg

Is there any cycling brand with a mightier heritage than Campagnolo?

Rapha — £24

Rapha.jpeg

Probably the UK's most controversial cycling brand, so here's one of their T-shirts for you to argue about.

About road.cc Buyer's Guides

The aim of road.cc buyer's guides is to give you the most, authoritative, objective and up-to-date buying advice. We continuously update and republish our guides, checking prices, availability and looking for the best deals.

Our guides include links to websites where you can buy the featured products. Like most sites we make a small amount of money if you buy something after clicking on one of those links. We want you to be happy with what you buy, so we only include a product if we think it's one of the best of its kind.

As far as possible that means recommending equipment that we have actually reviewed, but we also include products that are popular, highly-regarded benchmarks in their categories.

Here's some more information on how road.cc makes money.

You can also find further guides on our sister sites off.road.cc and ebiketips.

road.cc buyer's guides are maintained by the road.cc tech team. Email us with comments, corrections or queries.

John has been writing about bikes and cycling for over 30 years since discovering that people were mug enough to pay him for it rather than expecting him to do an honest day's work.

He was heavily involved in the mountain bike boom of the late 1980s as a racer, team manager and race promoter, and that led to writing for Mountain Biking UK magazine shortly after its inception. He got the gig by phoning up the editor and telling him the magazine was rubbish and he could do better. Rather than telling him to get lost, MBUK editor Tym Manley called John’s bluff and the rest is history.

Since then he has worked on MTB Pro magazine and was editor of Maximum Mountain Bike and Australian Mountain Bike magazines, before switching to the web in 2000 to work for CyclingNews.com. Along with road.cc founder Tony Farrelly, John was on the launch team for BikeRadar.com and subsequently became editor in chief of Future Publishing’s group of cycling magazines and websites, including Cycling Plus, MBUK, What Mountain Bike and Procycling.

John has also written for Cyclist magazine, edited the BikeMagic website and was founding editor of TotalWomensCycling.com before handing over to someone far more representative of the site's main audience.

He joined road.cc in 2013. He lives in Cambridge where the lack of hills is more than made up for by the headwinds.

I love my cycology "DNA" shirt.

It couldn't be more me, I am a molecular biologist.

So have you noticed the glaring mistake in the design? (the black one at least)

Yup - left-handed DNA is not un-known, but rare apparently.

The odd thing is that the grey version of the T has the correct alpha helix.

Someone must have flipped the image.

I bough one of these Ts and had to send it back as although it fitted fine on the chest and shoulders it was really really long in the body. Very odd.

Check out our range of cycle inspired T-shirts and sweatshirts at http://vintvelo.com/shop/ . Our designs include road cycling, time trial, CX, vintage, and MTB themes. Available in bamboo and organic cotton. This one's our current best seller.

Take a look at my brand, Broken Riders - brokenriders.com

We're mainly influenced by mountain biking but love all two-wheeled activiy. And who could argue with the philosophy on our best selling t-shirt?

All our clothing is ethically sourced (meaning no sweatshops or child labour), and is eco-friendly. We only use water-based inks and our cotton tees are 100% organic and made in a factory that only uses wind and solar power.

I design and print tshirts for men under the name Sight Hound. I'm really pleased with a new Tshirt just listed at notonthehighstreet, which can be personalised with a location red spot to mark a favourite ride or home town. The UK map graphic is made up of bike bits: wheels, gears, etc. It's an interesting design with a personal touch... that's what my customers say, I hope you'll agree.
