Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge
Something for everyone!
HQ - Cockerham Village Hall LA2 0DZ
On offer are three fully marked circular routes of 18, 50 or 100 miles, taking you on a beautiful journey through the picturesque Ribble Valley, Bowland Fells and Lune Valley, with back markers, minibuses, a medic, bike mechanic and refreshment stops.
The 18 mile route is mainly on the flat over Cockerham Sands and suitable for families. The 50 mile route hits you with a few hills to start off with, but once you’re past the 30 mile point, it becomes a lot flatter. The 100 mile challenge is geared towards experienced cyclists as you climb 5,000 ft through out the course.
Registration Fees are £20/£30/£39 depending on the chosen route.

My first thought on reading the headline was "ooh, has Clevedon put in covered bike parking now?".
I rented a car a few weeks ago, a Skoda Octavia (needed a big car for a weekend), and the ride was astonishingly good compared to my own 10 year...
Silly.
