Nottinghamshire Wheeler Sportive
In its debut year, we give you one last chance to get out for a spin before the winter
truly sets in — and what better place to do this than along the brisk and wending byways of rural Nottinghamshire.
We start out from Southwell Racecourse and after cutting through Southwell itself we head out north, winding through quaint English villages on gently undulating terrain. After passing through Sutton-on-Trent, Standard riders will point their steeds west towards Tuxford, while Epic riders continue on a northerly tack. The Epic route takes in more of glorious Nottinghamshire: crossing railway lines and canals, bisecting swathes of pastureland — you really begin to get a sense of the area.
After reaching Retford we work our way south, dropping down through the lovely village of Egmanton then continue to Farnsfield before finally heading east again through Southwell and back home.

Even I would say 'report horse ramming to the police ' because just ignoring that report is viewed as less acceptable than if it was a cyclist -...
I wasn't a bike geek or "serious" rider then (not now...) - my ride was a non-suspended 26" wheel "mountain bike" with V-brakes and piano key...
And, bonus, you can get rid of feed zones - just make them carry all their supplies in the basket.
