RICHARDSON'S ROYAL RIDE – KINGS LYNN
SUNDAY 18th June 2016
EVENT INFORMATION
Following on from the hugely successful spring time Richardson’s Rumble sportive from St Ives, Cambridgeshire, the Richardson’s Royal Ride offers a similar format in the summer from the coastal town of King’s Lynn.
This new addition to the Richardson’s sportive programme is a two distance event; a 110kms long ride around the area and a 50km Come and Try sportive for newcomers and anyone wanting a nice day out in Norfolk.
The ride
Leaving the seaport and sea views of Kings Lynn the route heads inland in to the Fenlands of the Norfolk Countryside with views of some of the most impressive country houses in England including the Queens home of Sandringham. The quiet Norfolk roads offer rolling open countryside and an ever changing scenery around every corner. The roads are in good condition making the three-different distance Richardson’s Royal Rides an enjoyable experience. The longer distances of the ride will always be a challenge but the fantastic countryside will make the distance and time flash by.
Historic Kings Lynn offers much to see and do with the port old and modern, a wide range of hotels and shops and also the Vancouver Shopping Centre. Road links with the rest of the UK are excellent as are the regular train connections to major cities.
Entries
The event is limited to 250 in the first year and the format will be based on the very successful St Ives Rumble. Entries are £29 for the long route and £19 for the Come and Try.

It's endemic now. Watched a skip lorry jump two reds within 100m on my commute this morning. No intention of stopping.
I strugle to think other as cool bikes as this. If my city was flatter and I fitter, I would drool over it....
