Somer Valley Cycling Club (SVCC) is inviting cyclists of all abilities to take part in its annual Mendip Madness sportive on 14th April 2019.
This will be the seventh year the club has run the popular event, which offers the choice of a 60-mile (96km) or a 40-mile (64km) route over the Mendips, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Both circular routes start at Ston Easton Village Hall at 9am and take in Cheddar Gorge and the Somerset Levels.
Facilities provided include refreshments at the start; feed stations; fully sign-posted routes; emergency backup; free tea, coffee and cakes at the finish line; and a finisher’s certificate.
Book your place online at British Cycling for just £13 per person, or sign-up on the day for £15 (either route). Routes available on somervalley.org.uk.
Event organiser Guy Worsdall comments: “This sportive aims to take riders to parts of the Mendips that others don’t! We can’t promise great weather, but we can promise fantastic routes with panoramic views of the best in the west, and some great cakes!”
