An epic route predominantly on road but with a few byways, forest tracks, old Roman roads and moor top Victorian cobbles, to name a few, in places. A lavish appraisal of hills with 25,250m of climb.

This event is internationally recognised by Les Randonneurs Mondiaux and run in accordance with their regulations.
The route is mandatory meaning it must be followed in full from start to finish.
You have effectively 7 days of cycling to complete the route to qualify for the 16 distance points. If you would like the experience but not worried about the distance points then the Big Gert Brevet 1600km is spread over 10 days; it still qualifies for the AAA points, and if you’re audaciously audacious and have a crack on a fixed wheel bike the distance points will be valid for the fixed wheel challenge. If you enter either the randonneur or the brevet populaire event you may swap to the other up to a week before the event.
!! X-RATED EVENT !!
- No sleep facilities.
- No dedicated controls.
- No bag drops.
- MANDATORY ROUTE GPX SUBMISSION REQUIRED

Beautiful wheels, I wouldn't say no. But have a look for the 2000-era Gipiemme Grecal Parade wheels to see an early example of a similar look.
