Go pink for the Giro d’Italia with these 18 pink products, from socks, jerseys, shades to bar tape and much more

Celebrate the start of the Tour of Italy and its iconic maglia rosa jersey with these 18 pink cycling products

The Giro d'Italia starts this week with star-studded lineup of potential winners, but we're more impressed by how some bike brands really go to town producing limited edition pink products to celebrate the iconic maglia rosa leader's jersey. We've rounded up some of our fave Giro themed products and we've also lobbed in a few other pink products that, while nothing to do with the Giro, do provide a good way of celebrating the race if you're into that sort of thing.

Let's kick off this celebration of all things pink with the iconic maglia rosa, which this year is being sponsored and produced by Castelli. The Italian company has produced the leader's jersey in the past, back in 1981 when Giovanni Battaglin, won the race and most recently with Miguel Indurain in 1992. And you don't even have to ride the actual race to get your hands on this jersey, you can buy a replica for €129.95.

Like to travel in style? Scicon has launched a pink version of its two bike travel cases, the Aerocomfort 3.2 TSA and Aerotech Evolution TSA. As with most Giro themed products they are limited edition so they won’t be around for long. It is offering a 25% discount with this code SC-THINKPINK-25 which is pretty generous.

There's not much pink to them, but these are a special Giro Edition version of Sidi's Shot race shoes. Since they are the top-end shoes in the Italian company's range, they come with a suitable top-end price: €389.

This is more like it! Fizik offers its new Aria R3 shoes, with an updated upper design and twin Boa dial closure system, in a pink and yellow colour option. Yours for £265.

Rapha has a well-known penchant for pink. These water bottles come in a choice of colours including pink. They cost £12 for the small ones and £15 for the large bottles.

A fan of indoor training? Why not show your love for the Giro d'Italia with this very limited edition pink Elite Drivo indoor trainer? Only 100 will be available worldwide with only a handful coming to the UK.

We've never seen pink jockey wheels before,  but that all changed this week when CeramicSpeed launched limited edition pink jockey wheels, in both regular size and its barmy oversized design.

How about some pink socks? These are produced by Rapha, part of its Pro Team range and available in three lengths.

More pink socks, this time from new brand Pongo London. These ones are inspired by the Breton stripe synonymous with French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. A tenuous link to the Giro then...

Speedplay's unique pedals come in a variety of colours including pink. Granted, nobody is going to see them when you're cycling, but maybe that's okay?

Kask launched a Giro d’Italia edition helmet a couple of years ago, combining vivid pink over a navy blue base, and it’s still available to buy. Choose from the Mojito or Protone, pictured here.

Oakley lets you customise many of its shades and some of its models include a pink option, such as the Radarlock pictured above. Not cheap at £247 mind.

Spring, the season when the Giro d'Italia gets underway, isn't always warm and sunny, and for those suboptimal days, the Castelli Gabba 3 is a prime choice. And you can buy it in pink!

How about treating your bike to some pink Fizik Performance bar tape for the duration of the Giro?  We know a certain person who rides pink bar tape all year round...

Retor clothing specialist Prendas produce these snazzy pink overshoes, made from Cordura they're not only durable but also good for providing a bit of extra warmth on chilly rides.

Spring is oversocks weather, and Defeet offers their excellent Slipstream oversocks in a range of colours, including neon pink.

Here's a smart way of customising your Garmin Edge 820 GPS computer with a silicone case. It also serves to protect it should you drop it on the ground. Other colours are available and other models supported too, in case you don't have an 820.

Morvelo’s Serig Short Sleeve baselayer uses an open mesh fabric for summer breathability with a pink and black design that taps into the trend for jazzy baselayers at the moment.

"Retor clothing specialist Prendas" - sorry, I'm here again, moaning about proofreading. Even a simple spellcheck would have picked this one up.

Standards of journalism here are getting worse, and I'm seeing more and more errors. The writing may well be good - I'm sure you're all trying hard to be accurate and interesting - but if it's littered with avoidable mistakes, then it's undermined in my book.

If you're serious about quality, please get someone to read through prior to posting.

I've been thinking about buying a Scicon bag for ages and with 25% off a subtle pink one, my resistance finally caved in.

Apparently, it will be with me for the end of July, just when I come BACK from two weeks of cycling in the Alps. I guess I should have taken a breath and read the full description before hitting "add to basket".

indecision D'OH!
