I run a pretty fast i7 gaming speed PC and have a 30Mbps broadband download speed. So why do Road.cc pages take so long to load, frequently so long that I get a 504 overtime error. It is only Road.cc pages that do this, other sites are fine

I've had various 50_ errors recently.
We have a super fast connection at work and it is still slow even with various script s blocked.
I assume the site is "daisy chained" in some fashion and the sites/servers it relies on have a very slow link somewhere.
It was also down completely a week or 2 ago.

It's been happening a little more to merecently.

Seems to sort itself out after a bit.

I am getting that data thingy popping up a lot less, so that's good.

It's been dreadful for a few months now. Almost as if the web server is an i386 with a 56K modem.

Don't forget that if you're not using an ad blocker every page you load is calling out to a half dozen ad servers.

2 ad blockers and Ghostery for good measure.

Today however load speed is just about respectable.
