Anyone replaced the brake/shifter lever assembly on a Shimano brifter?

Morning all, I stacked the winter bike the other day and shredded the right hand shift lever so I managed to track down and buy the lever assembly as a seperate part.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this job before I got stuck? It looks like brake cable out, push out pin and replace lever assembly, replace brake inner? It's 11 speeed 5800 105 btw.

Worry over, job done.

1. Removed brake inner from shifter.

2. Pop off small silver circlip on in-board end of silver pin.

3. Pop pin out.

4. Fit new lever assembly and pin.

5. Hook teeny spring over side of lever body where there's a small notch. Note that hook of the spring isn't supposed to go over and into the slot, the end of it is supposed to sit in the slot.

6. Replace brake inner.
