why not predict the top rider in each catagory (overall, sprint, mountains, u23) and stage winners with bets have to be made before the stage starts.
Then decide points on that.
J
Yeah tour de france fantasy team would work (maybe for all the grand tours)
maybe. what kind of thing, pick a team and we'll see who gets the most points? something like that?
we've been thinking maybe it'd be a nice project but right now i'm not sure how to weight the scoring. obviously you've got points (last year's race was won with 270) then the KOM (won with 128 last year), then overall standings and white jersey standings. ideally i guess you want the person that wins the race to end up with the most points
anyone got any suggestions?
we didn't really cover ourselves in glory, did we?
miffed wins with one right out of three. not really up against very stiff competition
can we have a tour de france fantasy thing, road.cc boys?
well... chavanel certainly had a go
Well, miffed and Tony were pretty close with Haussler, none of you went for Devolder (I didn't have him and fair dos Hushovd was there at the end… until he took out most of the sprint
I'm with miffed for two out of his three choices
Haussler for Flanders,
Cav for Wevelgem - although he will be a marked man, Tyler Farrar might be worth watching if he's fit.
Roubaix is anyone's I don't think Boonen though, he doesn't look to be in much form - it wouldn't surprise me if Hushovd did it - Cervelo are an extremely well organised team and it is one of his target races, but then if he is in the mix at the death Haussler is likely to be there too.
chavanel likes to have a go and flanders is the perfect race to do it, his attitude deserves some results and i'm backing him to win. boonen for gent, and hincapie to finally exorcise the paris-roubaix demons
I'm going for hushovd in the ronde, haussler's been really strong but i fancy the big man for this one! cav for gent too, i reckon it'll go down to a sprint and there's no-one better right now. cancellara for the roubaix, off the front.
