8 Speed Chainring

I have a Giant Defy 4 2012 model and the front chainring teeth are like sharks teeth and it needs replacing.

I'm having real trouble finding anything to replace it as everything seems to be 9/10/11 or even 12 speed now.

I believe it's an FSA Tempo chainset 110 50T and I can't believe that these are so hard to get hold of now... or is it that i've got it wrong and a 9/10 speed ring will do?

There's years of life left in the bike and don't want to bin it just because the chainring is knackered.

Any help/ advice will be greatly appreciated.

(Sorry if this is in the wrong place but i'm new to forums!)

Have you tried SJS Cycles?  Always worth the effort.

Thanks for that - they've got a great range!

In my experience, a 9/10 speed chainring will work perfectly well with an 8 speed chain.

Agreed, any 9/10 speed ring will work fine provided it's the same number of teeth and same BCD
