Gearing upgrade

Hi all,

I am wanting to change my rear cassette from 12-28 to 12-32 for better climbing ability.

My question is I have a 10 speed |Shimano 105 set up with a short cage rear derallieur and I will have to upgrade to a medium GS derallieur. They seem very hard to come by so I was wondering if an 11 speed rear derallieur would be compatible and if not if you have any advice on what might be.

Thanks in advance for your advice and help

Pete

ANY up to 9sp mtb( yes mtb) rear derailleur will work. Road ones up to 10sp ( except tiagra 4700) will do too but a mtb one will be better. I recomend xt medium cage for 11-32 or for 11-34 or 11-36 a long cage. The new sora derailleur will work flawlessly too.

Someone posted a link to this pdf a while ago:

It should tell you what's compatible with what.
