Recommendations - Shimano disc brake pad axle pin
Having splashed out on a new Shimano disc brake caliper, I'm wary of staying with the soft alloy pad axle pins that so frequently seize in these units. I'm equally wary of buying pins claiming to be titanium from random web sites and ebay sellers for something which keeps my brakes in place when I pull the lever!
Can anyone recommend a source for reliable alternatives please? I'm looking for the M4 pins with a short section of thread under the head and a retaining snap pin and the end. Steel... titanium... whatever works. Folk have claimed success with split pins but that feels like a roadside get-you-home measure to me.
