Swindon Wheelers BBC Complaint

So, I complained about the BBC edited footage of the driver who assaulted the Swindon Wheelers ride and it was upheld. Clearly they had a few complaints because this was their response:

"In video journalism it’s common to use shorter versions of longer videos and the shorter version we used here appeared alongside text which explained at the outset that the motorist received a caution.

However we subsequently added a sentence to the accompanying text which explained that the incident took place “after the motorist overtook the group then brake checked them”.

I've got the same response from my complaint. It was really disingenuous of them to edit that video and I don't see that taking out 10-15 seconds is really about the video length.
