Thru axle length

So, having determined the size and thread pitch of the thru axles I need, I'm struggling to find one which is the correct length. The front (measured from the base of the bolt to the end of the threads) needs to be 117mm and the rear 160mm. Having looked around, the Brand X range seem to come closest to what I need, but the lengths available are just a tad too long (theirs being 125mm and 166mm). My question is does it need to be exact length or can spacers be purchased to put behind the bolt?

Isn't the length printed on the thru-axle? I've got Shimano ones and they have the length written on them.

Sadly not no. But I'm confident my measurements are correct - just need to find one that matches! I've since emailed Giant direct to see if they sell spares, though I guess they'll be more expensive.

Don't use spacers, the right axle is out there. What is the make/ model of your bike?

117 mm front sounds like a Canyon size.

There is a configuration tool for just about every bike here.
