This is the sneakiest of sneaky sneak peeks at product from a new high-end brand called Blk Tec that’ll be launching later in the year.
The range will initially comprise wheels, bars, stems and seatposts, and all the products we had a quick look at behind the scenes at Taipei Cycle share a similarly clean, super-slick look.
These C1 wheels come with 45mm-deep carbon rims, carbon spokes and carbon hubs. This is the tubular version that will be priced at around US$3,000 (price to be confirmed) although the same wheel will be available in a clincher flavour too. Wheels will come in other depths, and discs options will be available too.
All of the products are lightweight and they’re designed with aerodynamics in mind, so you get internal cable routing through the bars and stems, for example, and there’s a really cool solution for hiding away a Shimano Di2 junction box... but we’ve said too much already. They’ll come looking for us if we say any more before the official launch at Eurobike towards the end of August.
Blk Tec haven’t launched their website yet so you’ll just have to hold on for more details.
