Schwag Grab: 5 Merino Buffs - We've got winners!

Grab yourself some useful neckwear for the cold snap

Everyone really does love a Buff, especially a wooly one, and especially when it's freeeezing outside. We got an avalanche of entries, but when we fired up the road.cc randomiser and dug our way out from under 'em we'd got five lucky winners.

And the lucky winners are: Ridire, Jon Mack, Guy Collier, nobled and ponnymeister. Get in touch pronto at info [at] road.cc and we will get some wooly goodness in the post… first thing on Monday (well it's cold outside and we don't have any Wool Buffs of our own).

For the uninitiated the versatile Buff is a fabric loop that can be used as a scarf, headband, hat, helmet liner, smog mask... you name it, if it's a part of your head or neck the Buff will be able to cover it somehow. Traditionally Buff have made them from a seamless cotton mix but the new kid on the block is the Wool Buff, lovingly crafted from 100% Merino wool for natural stretchiness and anti-whiff properties.

We reviewed the Wool Buff last week and reviewer Leonie Jennings gave it a big thumbs up. And now you can get your hands on one gratis, because the nice people at Buff have sent us five to give away. And not only that, you'll get the instructional DVD, some Buff stickers and Buff temporary tattoos (?!) all in a nice Buff paper carrier. And we'll throw in some road.cc stickers for good measure. And some Quality Street, if there's any left in the office Christmas tin by Tiffin time on Friday. Update on the Quality Street… they've all gone, well what did you expect?

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

Oh yes indeedy, I'll take one, any colour since my commuting is all in the dark. And all through the winter, unlike all the others I don't see any more....

I don't normally beg, but I will if you like. It's cold, wet and nasty out here when your only method of transport it bicycle and one of these would make me so happy I might actually burst. Or at least sing a little louder while pootling about on the Brompton.

Cheers,

It's jolly nippy in Budapest at the moment, so would appreciate it, I have nearly bought earmuffs...... (oh and I am very pale so if I had to chose please don't let it be white!)

I would like to wear nothing but a BUFF while riding in the buff. : ) Actually the product sounds very cool and I'd love to be entered into the competition. Thank you.

Yes please. Recently bought one of the hi-viz ones and it really helps reduce neck pain, as well as keeping you toasty.

I was thinking about picking a buff up soon. Glasgow weather means I'm commuting in sub zero temperatures these days. And being an Aberdonian, I do love sheep...

I was just looking at these in the shops to stave off a warm winter, don't think I could afford the posh merino one though! May just have to look like darth vader with one of those scary face masks 1
