Team Sky invite 300 cyclists to ride with them at official London launch

Facebook competition offers 300 the chance to ride through London with Bradley & co

Team Sky are inviting 300 “members of the public” to ride with the team at the official launch on the 4th of January. 300 riders will be picked at random from fans of the Team Sky Facebook site who enter the competition.

The lucky 300 will get the chance to join the likes of Bradley Wiggins, Edvald Boasson Hagen and Juan Antonio Flecha as Team Sky takes to the streets of the capital on the first Monday of the New Year. To enter the competition simply become a fan on the Team Sky Facebook page and enter the competition.

According to the Team Sky announcement the ride will: “will help further develop the connection between Team Sky and the fans with the team playing a key role in inspiring 1 million new cyclists to get on their bikes by 2013.” 300 cyclists plus a team of pros taking to the streets of Central London will certainly be a site to see and if you are one of the 300 it will probably be one of the most memorable things you'll ever get to do on a bike.

If you do enter you'll need to be up early on the 4th an SMS text message will be sent to the lucky winners before before 8am providing details of the secret start location and you wouldn't want to miss it because you'd overslept.
