Opinions sought on Cambridge cycle improvements

Exhibitions taking place across city

Local residents and businesses across Cambridge are being invited to have their say on cycleway improvement plans in the city.

Events are taking place from Tuesday 19 January until Wednesday 27 January to allow the public to view plans and comment on a number of cycleway improvement projects.

The projects are part of Cambridgeshire County Council's £7.2 million Cycle Cambridge town initiative, in partnership with Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council to improve cycling routes, facilities and training across the county.

Residents and businesses in the areas are being asked for their views on the projects and to provide feedback on the proposals.

Cambridgeshire County Council Roy Pegram, Cabinet Member for Growth, Infrastructure and Strategic Planning said: "Cambridge currently enjoys the highest levels of cycling of anywhere in Britain, however it is essential that this cycling culture is encouraged to grow. We want to encourage everyone to visit the exhibitions and let us know what they think."
