Here’s some of the biggest stars in cyclo-cross as you’ve never seen them before, as a crew led by recently crowned world champion Mathieu van der Poel of the Netherlands takes on one led by one of the sport’s all-time greats, Sven Nys.
It’s all in Dutch, but it’s clear the riders were having a whale of a time while filming the segment for for the Belgian cyclo-cross show Vier, presented by Evy Gruyaert.
Other videos about the rap battle focus on Flemish rap group Uberdope showing the riders how the pros do it, and the cyclists getting to choose their outfits.
There’s also a solo spot from the man considered the best of the bunch when ‘crossers turn rappers, Kevin Pauwels.
The show was aired after the final Superprestige event of the season, hence the end-of-term feel.
Here’s a wrap (sorry) of the action from 2014/15, with van der Poel topping the overall standings ahead of Pauwels.
