Naked Bike Ride London © @namallankaStreaking through the streets: World Naked Bike Ride hits the UK
Hundreds of people have spent the weekend streaking through the streets as World Naked Bike Ride has hit the UK again.
Around 250 people took part in Manchester's ninth annual ride, raising awareness for cycle safety and other issues, their bodies painted with slogans including ‘See me now?’ and ‘Stayin’ Alive.’
Hundreds more took to the streets of London to protest against the culture of car and oil dependency.
Andrew Fisher, 37, who helped organise the event, told the Daily Mirror: "It’s all about getting cyclists to be more visible on roads.
"Drivers say they don’t see you, we’re saying cyclists need to be seen to get their fair share of the road.
"We think around 250 people have taken part this year, and every year the event gets bigger. The atmosphere was brilliant."
Supermarket worker Abi Hurcombe, 23, said: "Everyone has been so friendly and it was really fun. I started wearing a bikini top but then I just ended up taking it off."
A ride marshall in Manchester had to deal with an impatient moped rider but police said that there were no other incidents.

Think you miss the point of this really, it makes the point through nude bodies.
What point does it make? Whenever I see events like this be it cycling, rambling or whatever, the only thought that goes through my mind is WHY? Please let me know what the point is because for sure I am completely missing it...

You obviously have issues mate, we were all born naked and nothing wrong with the human body. Not sure though I would place my bare arse on my saddle though !
True. But if you go to one of these events then you'd better practice thinking of baseball scores or Anne Widdicombe or something, in case your limbic system kicks off and you get kicked out...!
