We reviewed the FCR50s back in August and found them a “cracking set of wheels for racing and general flatlanding”. They spin up to speed quickly, and are light and responsive on climbs. You can read the review here. We did find them a little noisy, but hey, they’re free!

Tass is our production pedant, who boldly goes hunting for split infinitives, rogue apostrophes and other things up with which she will not put. She joined road.cc in 2015 but first began working on bike magazines way back in 1991 as production editor on Mountain Biking UK, then deputy editor of MTB Pro, before changing allegiance to road cycling as senior production editor on Cycling Plus. She's ridden off-road but much prefers on, hasn't done half the touring she'd like to, and loves paper maps.

That's because it's only available for members of the Road.cc cycle club. I can see this happening more and more, competitions only available if you pay for the privilege.
I understand what you're saying, but we're actually trying to do more competitions all round, but yes, the odd one will be for Members only. I don't think that's either unusual or unfair.
