Core bike: First gallery KuK Tripster, Argon 18 and more

Super-versatile bike Tripster frameset from KuK + fixed that'll take gears too

We've just uploaded our first image gallery from Core, with pictures of the latest bikes from Kinesis. This year the company has introduced a line of bikes specifically designed for the UK which will go under the KuK brand name.

The Decade range of road and mountain bikes heads up the KuK line-up for 2009, we were particularly struck by the new Tripster frameset in 7005 aluminium, which you can see here in road training and urban set ups. Versatility is the name of the game here – this is a bike that can be build up as a winter trainer with guards and discs or as a tough urban bike with 26in wheels, it can run 700cs or 28in touring wheels with racks and guards – or it could be a cycle-cross machine what ever you want it to be.

Available as a frameset package of frame, fork, headset, seatpost and clamp for £499.

Another interesting bike was the new Convert 2 a fixed singlespeed with more of a road bike geometry and reversible rear dropouts so that if you decide that you like gears after all you can fit them – the necessary cable routing is on the frame too.
