Nigerian footballer aims for Guinness World Record by cycling 100km while balancing a ball on his head

He already holds the walking record

Nigerian man, Chinedu Harrison (or possibly Harrison Chinedu, depending on the news outlet), is aiming to secure the Guinness World Record for greatest distance cycled while balancing a ball on one’s head. The Cambodia-based footballer – who already holds the equivalent walking record – is looking to ride 100km in this manner.

Guardian.ng reports that Harrison will make his attempt on November 20 in Lagos, travelling from Eleko beach to the National Stadium in Surulere.

Harrison is being sponsored by Nigerian betting website Bet9ja. Head of Marketing Communication at the firm, Tunji Meshioye, said: “In the last couple of months, we have observed Chinedu doing amazing things with ball on head, and Bet9ja is ready to reward his passion.”

In March, Harrison reportedly walked 48.04 kilometres in 6 hours 15 minutes with a ball on his head. The record had formerly been held by Indian soldier Naib Singh who managed 45.64km in 2014.

Here’s a video.

We can’t find any footage of Harrison cycling with a ball on his head, but this video has a bit where he’s doing his thing while getting a backie off someone on a moped.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

He just needs your bank account number, sort code, and security code to complete this challenge.

Well I've a photo somewhere of a bloke cycling along a road in Nigeria carrying a tree on his head. People can develop some pretty high levels of skills when they set a mind to it.
