BMX star Shanaze Reade to sign autographs at Cycle Show

Go to the Sabbath Bicycles stand at 2pm on October 11

Multiple BMX and track world champion, Shanaze Reade, will visit the Sabbath Bicycles stand at the upcoming Cycle Show on Sunday, October 11. The 20 year old will talk about her new Pure Bicycles steed for 2010, as well as signing autographs and posters. Pure is Sabbath's BMX brand partner.

For 2010, Reade will be riding the Pure Bicycles titanium BMX brand. In addition, a newly formed team to help young Olympic prospects, Team shanazereade.com / Pure Bicycles will also ride the Pure Bicycles titanium brand.

Reade has blazed a trail through BMX and is also a phenomenal talent on the Velodrome with Team GB. She is the lead out for the Team Sprint with Victoria Pendleton.

Greg Roche, Managing Director of Sabbath Bicycles said: “We’ve been creating market leading titanium road and mountain bike frames since our set up in 2006, and we have several new and completely innovative products for those markets which will be on our stand at the show, but to get involved in the Pure BMX project has been a positive challenge for our company.

“We’re delighted that people acknowledge us as titanium experts after less than three years in the business.”

Rob Vernon, Director of The Pure Bicycle Company added: “Pure was launched because we felt that while there was huge investment in technology in other cycling disciplines - road racing and track particularly, there has been no innovation in BMX.

“We - Pure - had the BMX know how and expertise, but we wanted to work with Sabbath because we felt they could help us create the product the riders are demanding.

“The Pure team riders have had direct input into the design of PRO XL they have been riding, feeding back to us and Dr Iain Roche at Sabbath who has been able to interpret the requirements and help us deliver a market leading BMX frame.”

Pure Bicycles will be displaying Shanaze's PRO XXL bike on the Sabbath Bicycles stand, located at stand E30, from 2pm on October 11.

The Cycle Show 2009 takes place from 9-11 October and is open from 10am-6pm on the Friday and Saturday, and from 10am-5pm on the Sunday.

Last year’s show attracted more than 20,000 visitors, and 2009’s event is set to be the biggest yet, with a massive variety of exhibitors, as well as test tracks, a seated arena, BMX street course, a showcase arena and a Cycling Store.
