Lotto-Belisol team bus up for sale

Belgian cycling team look to sell old team bus

If buying outrageously expensive cycling memorabilia is your thing, then we have good news for you. Lotto-Belisol are looking to sell off their old team bus.

The team have said that their old bus, which has carried them 817,000km, is “no longer appropriate” for the strains of Grand Tour racing.

In May Lotto unveiled their new team bus which accompanied the team on their 2013 Tour de France campaign. Now the season is over, the team are looking to take stock and sell off unneeded assets, including the old bus which is now considered surplus to requirements.

While the old bus can’t match the facilities of its young usurper, it is well equipped enough to handle smaller races in Europe.

The 1999 Eos bus, which can be seen on Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad’s website, has 817,000 kilometers on the clock and houses a leather seated meeting area at the front of the vehicle.

Further back are showering and toilet facilities as well as what looks like some form of changing area.

In comparison, the new bus is much more up-market. As seen in this cyclingnews video, the 2013 bus has a much wider range of facilities for riders facing the daily challenges of a Grand Tour.

Featuring a fully functioning kitchen area, complete with coffee machine and microwave; a more comfortable meeting area which individual seats for each rider and two showers, toilets and televisions, the new bus better suits a team vying for Grand Tour success.

If you are genuinely interested in taking this mammoth piece of kit off the hands of the folks over at Lotto-Belisol, then get in touch with sarah [at] lottobelisol.be.

Given Vulpine Nick's new venture, are we going to see it in Vulpine green?

Sadly not. It is a fully equipped team Vulpine Apache attack helicopter. Wiggle Honda better not try and win.

I'll take it - that's the final piece of my jigsaw to be a plastic pro! Awaits rushed to print new Velominati rule about your pro support coach being no older than five years. Damn it. Gotta go, my masseuse has arrived.

Drive it to races and get it wedged under the finish line. Hours of fun.

But seriously what would you do with this other than be the BEST equipped person on the roadside of next year's Tour

It'd look great as you turn up to the local Regional B road race, you and 3 mates fall off it with various bits of mismatching kit, bikes etc.

And then get your heads kicked in by all the local 3rd Cats. 24
