Does it help me get more from my legs quicker into my rides? Hmmmm, not sure. Does the massaging make me feel more Pro? Yes.
The oil absorbs quickly, leaving a nice sheen to smooth legs (and without wishing to come over all narcissistic, it also looks aesthetically pleasing with that post-exercise shimmer).
The smell — I liked it, my wife really didn't — is reminiscent of 1980's conference football changing rooms, without the harshness of a deapheat rub. (I was a ball-boy at Weymouth FC.) The fragrance comes from the carnitine, arnica extract, hammamelis and aloe vera extracts that are part of the oil.
If it didn't help my legs get up to speed faster, then what good is it? Well, it does provide a barrier layer against the skin which meant that road gank didn't stick so much — especially in the wet — and the gentle warming effect was appreciated.
Smooth smelling, easily applied, and gently warming. May not make you faster, but adds to the pre-ride ritual

Make and model: Galius Pro Pre-competition oil
Tell us what the product is for, and who it's aimed at. What do the manufacturers say about it? How does that compare to your own feelings about it?
Galius Pro say it's essential to warm up your muscles before exercise to increase their elasticity and avoid the risk of injury. In order to alleviate the negative effects of a lack of warm up time, it is a good idea to massage Galius long lasting oil into the skin.
Well this jury is not sold on that completely, but the psychological effect of the pre-race massage is a compelling one.
Tell us some more about the technical aspects of the product?
Contains essential oils such as carnitine, arnica extract, hammamelis and aloe vera, all in all producing a interesting aroma.
Rate the product for performance:
Hard to quantify if it did what it claims to do, but it did keep legs warmer in frigid weather.
Rate the product for durability:
Galius Pro claim it's long-lasting, the barrier effect seems to be still strong after two hours.
Rate the product for comfort, if applicable:
Tingly, in a good way. Did leave a red mark around sensitive skin areas - but that departed after 30 minutes. Worth testing on a skin patch yourself.
Rate the product for value:
£11 isn't much, but you'll get a goodly amount of rubs from the tube.
Tell us how the product performed overall when used for its designed purpose
Ok, I can't say it really did the pre-race warm up, but it certainly helps against bad weather rides.
Tell us what you particularly liked about the product
The smell appealed to me, and the ritual of the massage is a winner.

More psychological value than race-winning performance gains, enjoyable none the less.
