Fingerless gloves are a staple of the summer cycling wardrobe, and these Bodyfit Pro gloves from Italian company Sportful pack a great fit with a padded palm for extra cushioning.
These are actually the same gloves used by the Tinkoff professional cycling team, so if they are good enough for the pros, they're probably good enough for us. Thankfully the colour has been toned down a bit, and there's a selection to choose from, using this same striped pattern.

The synthetic suede material on the palm is extremely durable – I've logged thousands of miles in a previous pair and they're still going strong – and the slimline padding provides a bit of extra cushioning without ramping up the bulk too much. Ideal if you prefer a thin fitting glove, as I do. A silicone dot pattern on the palm boosts grip on the handlebar.
The fit is extremely good, with the slip-on design avoiding the need for an itchy Velcro tab. Pulling them on is easy, and to remove them there's a small tab between the two middle fingers; getting them off is a bit of an effort, as with any good fitting mitts, but it's a small price to pay.
A stretchy Lycra back is breathable and performs well in hot conditions. The towel-covered thumb is ideal for wiping sweat from your face or snot from your nose.
Overall, it's a simple design that simply works extremely well, with good comfort and durability, at a good price.
Verdict
Good gloves for the summer – durable, comfortable and they fit well
