Proviz has gained quite a reputation with its range of 360-degree reflective clothing, and it has now expanded the range with a new £230 Elite Cycling Jacket for men and women that uses premium materials and offers a more fitted cut.
It’s fair to say we were really impressed with the original Reflect360 jacket for its highly visible reflectivity thanks to a unique material that is grey during the daytime but lights up whenever a light hits it. The cut of the jacket is more commute-style than race fit though, which is fine if you are commuting.
- Review: Proviz Reflect 360 Jacket
The new Elite jacket, as the name kind of suggests, takes everything we loved about the original and offers a more fitted cut, making it ideal for cyclists that want to boost their presence on dark and dimly lit roads during those essential winter training rides.
It’s made from a four-way stretch material sourced from Italy and it’s wind- and water-resistant. It’s also claimed to be highly breathable, with a 15,000 gm/24hr rating. That should ensure it’s a quick-drying jacket when and help to regulate body temperature, ideal for tempo training rides or cycling up and down hills.
The company has paid attention to the fit and details. Double layered cuffs stop the sleeves riding up, there’s a dropped tail, a Silicon Power band has been added to the waist to provide a good fit, and there are three reflective pockets plus two additional hidden zipped side pockets.
- 12 of the best reflective garments and accessories to help keep you visible after dark
The jacket is available now for men and women and costs £229.99. We’ve asked for a test sample so we can review it and see how it performs, so watch out for that soon.
