2023 Shimano 105 Di2 bikes collage33 bikes that feature Shimano’s new 105 Di2 groupset from Bianchi, Ribble, Cervelo, Mason, Fairlight + more
You can’t have missed Shimano’s unveiling of its brand spanking new 105 R7100 series groupset, complete with Di2 electronic shifting, and here’s a very quick roundup of the bikes that we know will feature the new components.

A lot of brands will announce their Shimano 105 Di2 bikes when they reveal their entire 2023 lineups, but most of the bikes below are being introduced to their respective ranges right away.
Ribble
Ribble has added the new Shimano 105 Di2 groupset to several key models across its range.
The full list is:

- Endurance SL R Disc 105 Di2 - £3,899
- Endurance SL Disc 105 Di2 - £3,499

We can’t go through every one of them here but the Ultras are Ribble’s aero road bikes (top), and the Endurance bikes (above) are… well, they speak for themselves.

Mason
Boutique British bike brand Mason Cycles has added 105 Di2 to three of its bikes, with pre-order prices starting at £3,595 approx.
First up is the popular Definition, a high-end aluminium frameset that has earned rave reviews on road.cc.

The similarly well-rated Resolution road bike has also been given the 105 Di2 treatment, and is the pick of Mason's range if you want long-distance comfort and have a soft spot for steel.
The third bike Mason will offer with 105 Di2 is the titanium Aspect (shown here in its Ultegra build when we reviewed it back in 2019) and we can probably expect this one to be the priciest of the three.
Beyond being told that bikes will start from £3,595 (TBC) we don't have any more pricing information on these three 105-equipped bikes, but to discuss your pre-order Mason asks you to fill out its contact form. Mason expects to receive stock of 105 groupsets in early 2023.
Dolan
Dolan is offering four models with the Shimano 105 R7100 groupset as an option.
The Dolan Ares carbon aero road bike with the new groupset is priced from £3,349.99
As with Dolan’s other bikes, you can configure the spec to your exact requirements and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

The classic-looking Dolan ADX Disc titanium road bike specced with Shimano 105 R7100 costs £3,099.99.

The Dolan Tuono carbon endurance bike is available with the new Shimano 105 groupset too. Prices start at £2,949.99 for this one.
Finally, if you’d like a road e-bike with new Shimano 105, Dolan’s carbon Atreus is £3,699.99 in this build.
Bianchi
Bianchi will offer four models equipped with Shimano 105 Di2 although availability will be limited before the start of 2023.
No photos are available yet (hence the bike in the pic below is fitted with Shimano Ultegra) but there will be no colour changes to any of the models. It’s essentially a rolling groupset addition.
The Bianchi Aria Disc, which is a responsive aero road bike in a race geometry, will be priced at £3,850.

The Bianchi Infinito CV Disc will be £5,000. When we reviewed the Shimano Ultegra-equipped version of this bike we called it a “smooth endurance bike that's responsive enough to put in a race performance.”

The Shimano 105 Di2 version of the Bianchi Sprint Disc will be £3,400. This is a lightweight carbon-fibre bike in a race geometry.
The final bike in Bianchi’s range with a Shimano 105 Di2 groupset is the Infinito XE Disc at £3,650.

When we reviewed the Ultegra version of the Infinito XE a couple of years ago we described it as a “comfortable and stable sportive/gran fondo bike that's nimble enough to keep the speed merchants happy.”
Fairlight
Fairlight is offering its superb Strael with Shimano 105 R7100, having put in orders for the new groupset over two years ago. It says that bikes will be ready from mid-July.

“This is a unique situation for us as our lead time for everything else is 4-6 months but we've held frames off stock for these groupsets,” says Fairlight.
The price of a Fairlight Strael with 105 Di2 is £3,499. This compares with £3,099 for Shimano Ultegra mechanical and £4,049 for Shimano Ultegra R8100 Di2.
Cervelo
Cervelo says that it will offer the Caledonia in a Shimano 105 Di2 build but we don’t have any more details than that at the moment (nor pics; the bike below is fitted with Shimano Ultegra Di2). Sorry.

The Caledonia is designed as a performance road bike with a generous amount of tyre clearance and is versatile enough to tackle a variety of surfaces
Merida
Merida says that it will have three models equipped with the new Shimano 105 Di2 groupset: the Scultura 6000, Reacto 6000, and Scultura Endurance 6000.

The Scultura is the lightweight road bike in Merida’s range, the Reacto is the aero road bike, and the Scultura Endurance is designed for racking up long distances in comfort.

However, Merida isn’t able to supply pictures (the bike pictured here is fitted with Shimano Ultegra) or prices and the bikes aren’t yet available – they’ll be coming in 2023.
Orro
Orro is offering the new Shimano 105 Di2 groupset on three bikes. You can pre-order now with the estimated date of arrival for each of them being 2nd August 2022.
The Orro Gold STC 105 Di2 is £2,999. This is an excellent endurance/gran rondo bike that’s quick and responsive.
The price for the performance-minded Orro Venturi STC 105 Di2 is £3,150.

The Orro Terra C is a bike that can be specced as a road, all-road, or gravel bike, so it’s versatile. We found it an absolute blast when we reviewed a model built up with Shimano’s gravel-specific GRX groupset. The 105 Di2 version is £2,999.99,

Moda
Moda has five models available with Shimano 105 Di2:

The Vivo Disc and Stretto are carbon road bikes, the Strega is a titanium bike that’s designed for versatility, while the Molto (above) is a full-carbon gravel bike.

You're right--that was the other one. The relevance is that people keep complaining about how damaging the platform is, yet they carry on using it.

Says it all, really, the cheapest bike on this list £2499. The older 105 version still available at £1599. You can even get the older Ultegra version cheaper. I wish they'd offer Campagnolo options tbh.

Much as I understand the need for a business to keep moving forward to make money and remain viable, I'm more than a bit pissed off that I can, apparantly, order a new Di2 CGR-SL from Ribble and get it delivered in August, when the 105 CGR-SL I ordered in December '21 has just slipped it's delivery date from 1st July to the end of July...
Well, they say now you can get it my the end of August...
And £2,749 for 105 R7000 (though TBF that model has cheaper bars, stem and seatpost).
Sorry but this whole article just seems like a bit of a breathless attempt to promote the new groupset, you don't even have prices, pictures or specifications for half the bikes you've listed!
I mean it's pretty much a given that every brand will have a 105 model so why don't you just list all the various models that each brand offers and stick up a picture of this year's Ultegra version instead? 🙄
Also, are we now entering the brave new world of £3,000 105 equipped road bikes no doubt weighing over 9kg? I remember Trek trying to punt a 9.5kg porker for over £2,200 last year...
As expected I counted just 3 bikes under 3k and only one of those was near 2.5k.
interestingly the Orro Venturi is £350 dearer with Rival Axs than 105di2.
That big a difference is quite surprising.
I'm sure it's an absolutely fantastic groupset. Having recently bought a new bike with 105 I'm torn between being annoyed that it has been quickly superceded with the new di2 version and relieved as the bike would have cost £800 more according to the price above.
My bike is less than a year old (and is on this list). I feel much the same.
Neither of you should waste a moment worrying about it.
The current 105 is a superb groupset, it does everything you could ask of it. This news changes nothing.
In a few years you could maybe think about whether you want to splash out on a Di2 12-speed upgrade. But right now you can simply appreciate what a great bike you have.
...and there's the advantage that the batteries on your 105 groupsets will never run out, and replacement parts will be cheaper
Spend the 800 on some aero wheels / or super lightweight wheels and conti5000 tyres you'll go a lot faster than having electronic gears you need charge / replace batteries in!

But the existing 105 will be replaceable for a good few years yet, if you had wanted to spend £800 more then you could have bought this years ultegra di2 version.
I've got a Felt Z5 with 105 groupset, bought around 6 years ago for £1500, all components still going strong, around 40,000km ridden on the bike. 105 just works and works well.
Meanwhile the more gears you have the thinner the chains get, the more expensive they become to replace. same for cassettes, so you have saved on getting 11speed 105 instead of 12 speed and you have also saved with a lower ongoing maintenance commitment.
I agree. I just upgraded my Time ZXRS (2014) From Dura-Ace Di2 7970 10 speed to 'hybrid' Ultegra Di2 11 speed, I had a Dura Ace 11speed crank already, plus new Dura-Ace 9200 rim brakes. It cost me a lot less than the new 105. It means I keep my wheels that are interchangeable with my wifes Ultegra 11 speed manual bike. I found this 105 announcement rather strange. I think this is not a great move for home mechanics.
yes, the cost 12 Speed replacement casettes/chains, compared to 11 speed, will rack up over the years of ownership. My 10 speed Tigra rear derailer just started to seize after 10 years of heavy use. Luckily my local bikeshop had a spare old 10 speed Ultegra derailer lying around. Looks great and the shifts are so smooth now. 10 speed will has saved me a fortune and this will have extended the life for a few more years.
