Third place winner of the Hunt Castelli Kit is: Sarah Tulley

Hunt Bike Wheels will be contacting you shortly.

Thank you all for entering and if you didn't win this time, better luck with the next one.

Rolling along nicely from last week’s competition we have another amazing selection of prizes from Hunt Bike Wheels. Hunt are no stranger to the competition page on road.cc, and this time they are offering you a choice of carbon wheels for first place with a value of up to £1000, a choice of any alloy wheels up to £500 in second place, and Hunt Castelli kit for third place worth up to £252!

That means that apart from one or two specialist models in their line-up, you have the pick of the complete line of Hunt wheels to choose from should you be lucky enough to win; and if you bag our third-placed prize you get a very smartly designed Hunt Castelli racing strip, including cap and socks which will look the business out on the Sunday ride in the sunshine.

With so many wheels to pick from, we've listed a couple of examples of what you might choose, and will leave you to check out the rest on Hunt's website...

If you're our lucky first-placed comp winner, this will allow you to pick ANY carbon-rimmed Hunt wheels under £1000, which is pretty awesome as that is most of the line! Back in 2017 when it was actually more expensive at £999.99, we reviewed the Carbon 30 Gravel Wheel and gave it 5/5 (see the review here), so that would be a pretty good option if you wanted a gravel set.

If you fancied a road version, what about a pair of their 3650 wheels shown above? We reviewed them and loved them, scoring 4.5/5. They feature a slightly lower profile front wheel to the rear of 36mm to 50mm, hence the name 3650, and at 25mm wide they're good for modern wide road tyres. Our reviewer thought they would be good value at £1500, let alone at their £1078 price back then - so now at under a £1000 they would be a fantastic choice!

Second place gives you the choice from Hunt's alloy wheel range; as long as they're under £500, you can pick them. Hunt make both disc and rim brake models in alloy with different width and height rims depending on what your preference is. They have eight road wheelsets to choose from, including the beautiful and highly polished Hunt Sprint Aero Wheelset at 1497g, as used by the Canyon Eisberg UCI Continental Pro team no less.

If you need something a little tougher for your gravel bike then what about the Mason X Hunt 4 Season Disc Wheelset at 1571g shown above? Now with a wider internal rim width of 19mm making it compatible with tyres up to 45mm wide, and with night safe reflective decals.

Third place gets you a Hunt Castelli kit ensemble the Maratona Jersey and Bib Shorts, Hunt socks and cap to match.

Hunt say: “the Maratona Jersey is designed to fit a wide variety of people that you might find in a Granfondo event like the Maratona dles Dolomites. It is lightweight, quick-drying and the full-length zipper makes it easy to open for ventilation.”

I’m not sure we’re all capable of riding the Maratona, but thankfully Hunt say “it’s also perfect for a post-work ride during the week or a long Sunday cafe ride with your mates"... phew, that's a bit more like it!

Of the bib shorts, Hunt say: “The bib shorts are designed on Castelli’s best sellers and are well suited to both hour-of-power efforts to six hour days in the saddle. They feature a “Progetto” chamois which increases airflow for even greater comfort and the flat-lie bib strap construction gives minimal coverage and maximum support for increased aerodynamics. Designed for top-level racing, it is equally at home on any of your cycling challenges.”

I think you'll agree the kit looks pretty smart, and the neutral colours will work with whatever bike you happen to be riding.

All you have to do to be with a chance of winning one of the prizes is fill the form out below and cross your fingers... best of luck!
