The number of people tied for 32nd and 126th on this stage is insane!

His lead out train isn't there and he is trying to sprint too far

Not something the team can fix on the go you suspect, he may struggle to win a stage like this. Maybe in Paris as the whole team can concentrate then.

Also it appears his favourite man Renshaw is struggling a lot.

Is Cav

1) off form ?
2) Gripel too good ?
3) team tactics not good enough ?

combination of all three. Kittle has had the measure of Cav and now even Sagan appears to.

Is peak Cav over ?

233 surely will win Purist stage. I've got one less in Standard.

Nacer Bouhanni has crashed out of the Tour. He is being taken to hospital by ambulance after crashing with several teammates.

Here's the pictures from the cyclingnews live feed... That looks pretty horrible there....

This is depressing... 45 One transfer wasted... I was hoping steve was mistaken and had somehow misread, mistyped or misunderstood... What a bloody sport! 22

Perichon in the break. On his own.

I have him in my Purist team so hopefully he makes it to the intermediate sprint.

Greipel, Degenkolb and then Cavendish take the points from second to fourth, the Lotto rider coming from the back but looking very strong as he extends his lead in the Green jersey competition.

Whew! 1
