Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories

Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes...

I just don't remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it's irresponsible.

'A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

"It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment." '

Could it have anything to do with the nextdoor pizza hut?...

Released without charge.

Could have happened to any driver who was driving to standard and within the speed limit.

How bad is the damage?
could be worse, looks like it's mainly the topside.

To start off, they have (had!) a phone box?!
Why was the lorry on the pavement, and reversing without any sort of vision?
And why didn't the phone box respond to the "GET OUT OF MY WAY" beeping??

Its remains are barely in frame on the far right side of the previous photo. Here's a better one.

I was very underwhelmed by the bright red Bentley SUV - was expecting it to be something driven by Avengers Steed or Jason King of Department S.

I knew there was a reason why they were painted red.

The lorry was going very slowly.
The phonebox was in its blind spot.
There was plenty of room for the phonebox to just go round it.
The lorry had never hit anything before and always drove carefully.
Why wasn't the phonebox fully on the pavement?

It wasn't wearing hi-viz and, as it wasn't wearing a helmet, it only has itself to blame if it has any damage!

Wasn't a bump in the road, it was a table top protected pedestrian crossing.

The Arby's hit by the school bus has been hit again on the other side.

A vehicle crashed into Arby’s in North Peoria for the second time in just two weeks.

Peoria Police said an elderly woman behind the wheel accidentally hit the gas when she should have hit the brakes. The car backed into the front door of Arby’s on Allen Road on Sunday afternoon, which has now been boarded up. No one was injured.

An Arby’s employee said the fast food restaurant now has just one working door.

This incident comes just 13 days after a Dunlap Middle School bus crashed into the back of the same restaurant by the the drive-thru, which has since been shut down.

New silver lining level unlocked in quest not to blame or even mention a driver for what happened:

One Stop closes in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, after car crashes into building

Following the crash, it became clear the shop would have to close and rather than throw out perishable items, staff donated around £1,000 worth of groceries to homeless charity Gillingham Street Angels.

Surprised to see a hint that the driver was actually at fault and it wasn't an "innocent mistake".
