Hub/wheel compatibility for Sram XD-R 12 spd freehub.

Hi,

Trying to source a budget wheelset that accepts a Fulcrum/Campagnolo freehub driver so i can run the Sram 12spd cassette.

Anybody had these issues where the advice from shops only seem to issue the mid to higher end pricey wheelsets?

As stated above, you don't need new wheels - just a new freehub. That assumes there is an XDR freehub [SRAM 12sp] for your current wheelset, of course. All being well, should cost you £50 ish and it's a 5 minute job.

May be I'm missing something, but you need an XDR free hub to run SRAM 12 speed not a Fulcrum/Campagnolo one. I have a set from Reynolds and a set from DT Swiss both are good. You can change the free hub body very easily, it just pulls out. Hunt and DT have sets for ~£500
