Institute of Advanced Motorists runs online cycling poll - and you can vote, too

You don't have to be a motorist to take part...

Road safety charity the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) is currently running a poll on its website regarding cycling issues – and you don’t need to be a member (nor indeed a motorist) to have your say.

Issues addressed in the survey include the use of public money to make cycling safer, the allocation of police resources to catch cyclists breaking the law, and whether bike riders should have to display license plates, and you have until 5pm on Wednesday 10 March to have your say.

The IAM, which seeks to improve road safety for all users, whether on four wheels or two, motorised or otherwise, has an entire section of its website devoted to cycling, with aims including “helping make cyclists safer on the road, encouraging more motorists to take up cycling and making the roads safer for all users.”

The charity offers cycle training, as well as consultancy services to companies and organisations looking to reduce car dependency among their employees, whether for business or personal use, and thereby reduce their carbon footprint.
