Videos: The worst motordope, the cutest CX-er & a huge crash

The video round-up's here with some motor doping themed bits, the youngest cyclocross rider & a big crash...

Stop what you're doing. Oh, you weren't doing anything. That's right, it's Friday afternoon, which means it's time to wind down in preparation for a busy weekend off riding, and stuff.

To help you in your quest to achieve zen-like levels of relaxation before the final leg of your week's worth of commutes, we insist you stop whatever you're doing and enjoy an exemplary range of cycling themed videos arranged especially for you.

First up we've got a couple of videos which follow a strong theme which has run through the world of cycling news for the last two weeks - that's right, motor doping.

The first video actually features a motor that's using human help to get itself going, but not just any humans, cyclists. A whole team of them.

Then we've got motor doping so blatant that even the UCI would have a hard time missing it. That's right, it's a washing machine motor attached to a bike. Why didn't we think of that?

We've then got the cutest cyclocross rider ever, an on-board video with paralympic world champion cyclists in the velodrome, a huge crash at the Tour of Qatar, a really scary close pass in awful conditions in Montreal, and a brilliant little bike animation which we think you'll love.

A motor, cyclist doping

So we have established that some professional cyclists have been using motors to help them perform better. This, however, could be the first time we've seen professional cyclists being used by a motor to help it perform better. Curious.

The team in question are Drapac Cycling, road.cc sources suggest that the UCI are not currently investigating the team for any wrongdoing.

The worst motor dope ever?

Had Femke Van den Driessche used this set-up to power herself up those hills in the U23 Cyclocross World Championships, we might have seen a different result.

Do you reckon the UCI would have caught her any sooner?

The cutest cyclocross rider ever?

Moving from one of the most divisive figures in the sport, to a potential future star.

This fella's clearly been watching the pros. Chapeau young chap.

We've seen POV footage of the craziness that is Velodrome racing plenty of times, but this is the first time a few of us in the road.cc office have seen footage of a tandem flying over the boards.

Here you've got Sophie Thornhill and pilot Helen Scott, a paralympic World Championship winning pair, who can certainly fly.

Massive crash at the Tour of Qatar

From pros indoors, to pros outside. Stage 2 of the Tour of Qatar, the day after Cavendish opened his 2016 account by storming to victory.

He was pipped to the line on stage 2 after avoiding catastrophe by getting caught up in a big crash 400m out from the finish line.

Here's the crash, and the sprint Cav lost, narrowly.

Close pass in awful snowy conditions

We've been fortunate this winter not to have had to deal with too many days like the one you'll see in this video.

The last thing you want to have to deal with when you're worried about the roads, though, is a belligerent driver.

Check out this close pass from a cabbie somewhere - we believe - in Montreal. Eesh.

Never steal a cyclist's bike

Finally, check out this charming little animation from Bombtrack Bicycle Company, and their affiliated bicycle crew, the Hardbrakers.

The video was allegedly inspired by real events, which leaves us with more questions than we had before we were gifted that knowledge.
