Video: Pro Cycling Trumps review of 2016

Can you name everyone who features?

From Greg Van Avermaet’s Olympic gold to Adam Yates’ unwitting acrobatics during the Tour de France, many of the most memorable moments from the 2016 pro cycling season feature in a rather marvellous animated review of the year.

The video was put together by Pro Cycling Trumps, the card game built around members of the peloton.

The video does raise at least one major question, however. As one member of road.cc staff put it: “Spartacus was a slave. Why's he wearing a legionary's helmet?”

There are a number of different packs of Pro Cycling Trumps available. As well as those based on 2016 riders, you can also get a Legends pack and another that focuses on climbs.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

Quite Anglocentric video you might say (+Manxcentric if thats a word, it isn't, now it is.) Good sign for British cycling going forward.

Careful, nonchalantly weighing into a helmet debate...

At the risk of sounding like a pedantic arse it's a Centurion's helmet but i get your point.

Didn't a Centurion's helmet-crest go port & starboard not fore & aft?
