Rapha launch updated Bomber Jacket

Rapha have just re-launched their Bomber Jacket or winter 2010/11 in a new colour, the technical urban model now coming in charcoal grey.

This breathable jacket started life as the Fixed but was updated and renamed last year. It comes with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that resists stains as well as rain and road spray, and the front panels are lined with a brushed polyester for extra protection from the wind. The shoulder panels are made from soft-touch Cordura so they should stand up to any rubbing from your bag straps without any trouble.

The Bomber Jacket is aimed at town/city riders and is intended for use off the bike too. It doesn’t look especially cycle-specific to the untrained eye but articulated shoulders provide extra reach, the wide, ribbed waist is designed to avoid any riding up as you pedal, and you get reflective strips both front and rear. There are several pockets for stashing all your stuff away too, including a zipped one on the right forearm that includes a key lanyard and clip.
