Police in Kent have bailed two people in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy who was killed while riding his bike on Monday evening and are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Kyle Coen from Sittingbourne was killed on the A2 at Bapchild after he was struck by a vehicle, believed to be a grey Fiat Bravo car that was subsequently recovered by police, at 9.15pm on the evening of 30 July.
A 27-year-old woman and 23-year-old man have been bailed by Kent Police to return to a police station at a later date, and anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding it is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit appeal line on 01622 798538.
According to The Times newspaper, which launched its Cities Fit For Cycling campaign in February, 60 cyclists have now been killed on Britain’s roads so far during 2012.
