We have a Vulpine Schwag Grab winner!

Someone's walking off with some top Autumn gear - is it you?...

My word people like the idea of free Vulpine Schwag, over 1200 of you commented in to tell us your favourite cycling season, all bases were covered but early indications are that summer was the winner. And the winner of the Vulpine Harrington Rain Jacket, Cotton Rain Trousers, Long Sleeve Merino Alpine, and Short Sleeve Polo? Well that's…

jimbocrimbo

Who despite what his name might suggest likes cycling in the early autumn best.

Congrats to the winner, who will be getting his fancy clobber soon (well before Chrimbo) and commiserations to the 1,276 of you who lost out. Fret not though we'll have another chance to win some top quality cycling schwag coming your way… Soon.

In the meantime you can console yourself by popping over to  Vulpine to think about what might have been season?

 schwag grab rules apply.

Early summer, preferably 4am. The longest days, not yet too hot and the fair weather cyclists still haven't got their form back!

I like the Spring season. Amazing racing by the pros and when dry perfect conditions for long rides up some Northern hills!

Winter, when it's freezing and damp. You arrive home in smug mode as you where out training when most people were still at home in the warm. Perhaps freezing sunny days in the winter are actually a bit nicer!

Spring for me - Love getting out early on a crisp cold spring morning and then sitting in a cafe in the sunshine to warm up. (happens about once a year!)

Winter.

In the dark with good lights. Nice quiet tracks, what is not to like? 1

Late spring for me. Light evenings, dry roads (mostly), good form and the knowledge that there are months of riding ahead.

Winter, when the sun is out and the roads are dry.

Winter, for those 'heroic entrances to the office' moments.

Summer. Specifically the midsummer solstice when I organise an annual ride with my mates. No worries about layering up, just get out and cycle till 10pm, watch the sun go down, and a pint in the pub garden afterwards. Perfect.

Although I have to admit I do also organise a winter solstice ride, just to balance my yin with my yang. But on the winter one, I'm dreaming of summer.

Scorching hot summer! When the roads are melting and your face is an attractive, crusty salt farm 38

Has to be spring. Coming out of winter when the mornings are still cold, but as the sun rises so does the temp.

Autumn for the colour and the light, Winter for the sunrises and sunsets, Summer for the warmth, but Spring is best.

Spring for the freshness of the air and the clear views as the leaves are just starting to emerge.

Autumn when it's dry, otherwise mid-late spring.

Gotta be spring. Those first few warm days after a long cold winter when you can go out in a short sleeved jersey again and everywhere is turning green again. Magic.

It's got to be summer. Those long balmy summer evening rides in shorts and short sleeves. Travelling light with no need for a rain jacket. Roll on next summer.

I love cycling in spring, after the dark and cold of Winter comes the hint of warmth and green.

Summer - also my favourite cycling seasoning is paprika after I saw some guy rubbing it on his legs at the track once. Is that a thing?

First warm day of spring,
Bare shoulders of girls on the seafront,
Pedals turn and it's all ahead of us.

It's got to be winter. Rule Number 9 riding in the dark, cold and rain. Makes you feel alive!

Spring ,after a long cold winter nothing beats a morning ride without 20 layers and arctic gloves surrounded by the return of new life ,plants and animals and less wind and rain hopefully 1

Scottish Winter, those crisp cold rides with a clear sky or struggling against the rain and wind knowing you really have suffered for your sport.
