Yet another range of very £spendy urban bikes that have little or no design elements to improve security.

At a time when riders are being attacked at knife points for their bikes, the response from the likes of Canyon is just to shrug their corporate shoulders and crack on as usual.

Where is the design thinking around improving traceability of parts, serialisation, tamper proof idenfitication, inbuilt tracking etc - all of which would help to reduce the attractiveness of bikes for the purposes of theft / resale or theft / sale of component parts?

The bike industry could learn a lot from some of the niche innovators like vanmoof or security initiatives in other industries e.g. apple's changes to prevent stolen phone parts being fed into the "repairs" supply chain.

Interesting they come with Bosch motors. Are they moving away from Shimano? Commencal seem to be doing the same.
