Potential users should bear in mind that these kinds of cargo bikes are illegal on UK roads unless they have been through SVA, registered, taxed, and insured. Just like with e-scooters, the rules may be daft, but they are very clear.

I've no idea whether this would make economic sense but I'd make use of public cargo bike rental scheme. Probably still a very niche thing but there are enough "cyclists" about who'd be comfortable with giving it a go - especially with a motor.  A couple of times per year I have an "if only I had a cargo bike" moment. I used to get by with a trailer but that's moved on now.
