I started cycle commuting full time, in June. Being an experienced cyclist, the 4 miles, each way, is a nice distance, without an e-bike, but I've spoken to a couple of 'people of a certain age' who share part of my route, on their e-bikes, and it's pretty obvious that the bikes are game changers, for them.

This has be part of the future of active travel - there are very few down sides - mainly weather related, but they can be overcome.
