The OnYerBikeSeat Waterproof Saddle Cover is a little anorak for your saddle, a cover to protect it from the elements and to keep your perch all cosy and snug.

If you have a little saddle in your life that you wish to pamper and shelter from the British climate then this smart shower cap made from robust a ripstop nylon fabric with a waterproof PVC coating on the inside could provide the cover you are after.

Ok, you could just pop a plastic carrier bag over it for nowt but what does that say about you and surely your bike deserves better than that?

Riding with the seat cover on doesn't feel right, like wearing over-trousers that are too big for you but it isn't really for that, it is to protect your saddle from getting sodden when you bottom isn't covering it.

It does say that it protects it from bird poo as well but you still need to take the mucky cover with you or throw it away and get a new one. At ten quid it is a little too pricey to discard it so frivolously.

The saddles that it does work well for are the Brooks-type leather seats that can go saggy when saturated. Popping a cover over them does a lot to help keep the leather healthy or at least lessen the amount of care you need to give it to keep it tip top. It may even work as a deterrent for thieves who love to collect Brooks saddles around London.

The OnYerBikeSeat cover is made from ripstop nylon fabric with a PVC coating to the reverse, which makes it both waterproof and durable and robust enough to be used for longer than you can keep a Brooks saddle on your bike in Hackney.

This is a fun solution with lots of colours and print designs to chose from to an issue that is normally quite easily sorted with a plastic carrier bag. Or you can get your own custom print on it for marketing purposes which is the reason why these got made in the first place.

If you have a saddle like a Brooks and leave your bike outside then a cover is much needed. A plastic carrier bag will suffice but this is prettier.
