It gets four stars for each of the three judged criteria yet ends up at three-and-a-half overall.  How does that work?

Neat idea to have a one person bikepacking tent that you can sit up in, but sounds a bit flawed. I'll stick with my Gelert solo (discontinued I think) which is 1.5kg and OK for me at 6ft, but you definitely can't sit up in it!

I used to have a Gelert Solo, so I know it well and it was a real bargain! It was the first tent/shelter I ever used when bikepacking and a shame it was discontinued.
The Alpkit Soloist does offer significantly better quality materials however and definitely isn't flawed, but maybe not for all, or all locations/conditions or all people.
