Video: Get to know Orro Bikes' complete road and gravel range

An in-depth look at the bikes from this young British brand

British brand Orro has developed a large range of bikes over the past few years and we headed down to its Sussex headquarters to check out the 2019 highlights.

Orro designs its own bikes here in the UK and owns its own moulds; these aren't generic open mould designs with Orro logos added.

Orro Gold Stc Dura Ace 2019x

The range includes the Gold STC road bike, STC standing for 'spread tow carbon'. The spread tow carbon technology comes from Sigmatex, a Runcorn-based carbon composite specialist whose materials are used in many other industries such as the automotive and aerospace sectors. Orro uses the spread tow carbon to reduce frameset weight and increase stiffness.

Check out our review of the Orro Gold STC Disc

The Venturi aero road bike (main pic, top of page) uses spread tow carbon too. This bike is disc brake-specific and optimised for 28mm tyres.

Orro Terra C 2019x

Orro has brought in more materials technology from Sigmatex to improve the performance of its Terra C road/gravel bike. This time it includes Innegra in the layup, a high modulus polypropylene fibre that improves the level of impact resistance, providing protection from any stones or gravel that get flicked up from the road surface.

About road.cc Buyer's Guides

The aim of road.cc buyer's guides is to give you the most, authoritative, objective and up-to-date buying advice. We continuously update and republish our guides, checking prices, availability and looking for the best deals.

Our guides include links to websites where you can buy the featured products. Like most sites we make a small amount of money if you buy something after clicking on one of those links. We want you to be happy with what you buy, so we only include a product if we think it's one of the best of its kind.

As far as possible that means recommending equipment that we have actually reviewed, but we also include products that are popular, highly-regarded benchmarks in their categories.

Here's some more information on how road.cc makes money.

You can also find further guides on our sister sites off.road.cc and ebiketips.

Really enjoying my Terra C Adventure. I changed the supplied Fulcrums for some Hunt wheels as my weight was testing the Fulcrums a bit too much. Also had no problems fitting 45mm WTB Riddlers (tubeless) on to provide a bit more comfort on longer gravel rides. It's a really responsive, sturdy bike that gives you a lot of confidence on rough terrain. Looks great as well!

Has anyone seen a review of the Venturi?  It's been out since about April and I can't find any.  Looks like a potentially good value aero option...bar the wheels, obvs.

I was talking to my LBS about the Venturi earlier this week and he told me that they had initially had a number of problems including paint issues and something to do with short seat posts, but according to the Orro owner they are all now resolved and ready to go
