We are delighted to announce or H4H Sportive Ride in aid of Help for Heroes. This very special road sportive will be held on On Sunday 26th January 2014 and will be suitable for all abilities and ages. Routes of 60, 30 & 15 miles will be available. The event in it's forth year is held to help raiuse money for a different charity each year, this year being Help for Heroes.

This non-competitive event will take riders through the local lanes around Cannock Chase and through South Staffordshire. The ride starts from outside the Run & Ride shop and will head out following a fully signed course, finishing back at the store where drinks and cake will be provided. All proceeds (after costs) will be donated to the Help for Heroes charity.

Course Profile - Fully Signed
The route will focus on taking in some of the roads we love to ride ourselves. Based mainly on back roads & small lanes where we love to get away from the traffic of the busy roads. Heading out over Cannock Chase the course will be fairly hilly to start with but the remainder of the route will be easier and rolling. Feedback from the previous event years routes have been fantastic. Even local riders find that they are riding roads they've never been on. Course maps and GPX files will be made available soon.

Start Time
Signing on from 8.30am.

Start Point
The event will start outside the Run & Ride. For Sat Nav purposes use postcode WS12 0QU. All riders will pass through a 'timing point' at the start and again when they arrive back.

Refreshments
Each year our friends and family spend hours locked away in the kitchen coming up with some amazing cakes especially for the event. These will be given away free with a hot drink to each rider in exchange for your refreshment voucher. Should anybody wish to purchase something more substantial then please visit the Chase Cafe located a couple of 100 metres away. Failing that we will have an abundance of energy and recovery products that you may purchase at any time.

I'd love to ride this but unfortunately can't be involved with military charities so I'll need to give it a miss.
