Cycling Weekly Afan Avenger Adventure Cross
A fantastic physical workout raiding the steep mountain sides and flying down the fast screaming descents back into the depths of the valleys including cycling through the Afan forest.
There are two routes: Massif 60 miles and Mini Massif 44 miles.
This challenging South Wales ride sets off from Margam Country Park, Port Talbot and the routes take in the mountain areas of the Mynyd Margam, Mynyd Nant-y-bar, Mynyd Abergwynfi (Massif Only) and the Mynyd Penhydd / Argoed. Both the routes take in the Bryn-Goytre Cycleway (gravel old railway line) and the Richard Burton Trail (mixed surface old railway line). Both routes go through the beautiful Afan Valley with the Massif Route heading all the way up to the top of the valley beyond the village of Abergwynfi.

Just a tad. It's also both offensive and disturbing the way in which her disability is portrayed as some form of mental disorder that could excuse...
Well you see there are a few trolls that refuse to stay banned and keep coming back to wheel out (pardon the pun) their anti cycling mantras and...
This ^^^^ It's always the council contractors that I see happily driving up the Redways - the odd unhelmeted motorcyclist but mainly contractors,.
"Not completely waterproof", you say...? That's a no from me.
