Autumn Epic
Event info
New 100mile version of the Classic route through the hills of central Wales marks the 15th year for the Epic. There are big, notable climbs along the way that are well loved/feared by participants plus a memorable tour of the Elan Valley lakes and dams. The notorious Glascwm climb after 65 miles (25%) is a well known feature of an event that has been stretching riders to go beyond themselves since 2005.
New features for 2019 - you can select a "speed group" to be set off in - helps you form pelotons and get round easier/quicker, and we're asking to put your name on the back pocket number to enable budying up and riding together. All designed to make this the friendlilest event with the most support all the way around.
Looking like some GC teams want a win today. Boo hoo Quickstep setting Landa up to drop out of the top 10.
I suppose if you're Alan Sugar then titanium mudguards might make sense. For the other 99.9% of cyclists, they're a bit expensive.
