RIDE IT Callander Road Sportive (Saturday)
RIDE IT is a series of non-competitive cycle events taking place across the country and aimed at riders of all abilities. At every ride you’ll find a choice of fully waymarked routes, well stocked feed stations sponsored by High 5 Sports Nutrition, mechanical and sweeper van support if things go wrong, electronic chip timing to record your ride and a finishers medal waiting for you at the end.
Set in the heart of the Trossachs, this ride is breath-taking from start to finish. An abundance of the fine Scottish scenery makes this a beautiful route passing numerous lochs and some great climbs along the way.
We have managed to arrange the use of the closed road section around Loch Katrine this year which means miles of traffic free riding. The route starts off along the shores of Loch Venachar before climbing over the back of Dukes Pass and descending into Aberfoyle. The medium and long then strike out for Loch Katrine and the closed road before climbing back over Dukes Pass for a second time. More great riding will bring you back to the event centre and a well-earned medal.
Please note, the closed road is private so if permission is withdrawn we will revert back to the original routes.
I can't imagine carrying that Lion of Flanders flag round with him helped Van der Poel much either.
I'd find a physio who would have a look. They will do tests to determine where the issue lies, the extent of mobility and maybe some exercises....

An uh-oh email signifying that it took Tadej Pogacar to dethrone you, that's pretty impressive. You'd want to keep that email.
I wouldn't mind, but I would like the caveat that it should come after I've enjoyed at least one post-ride pint of beer. Sure many others have...
It was a bit of a tongue in cheek suggestion
How does the perspective shift if its just counting passes & the speed ?...
The thing we're envious of over here in the UK is ... any largely motor vehicle-free area (still not normal for UK). Never mind one with formal...
